Privacy policy

Effective date: October 9, 2026

Who we are

Business locations: United States and United Kingdom.

Contact support@trytucasa.com with privacy questions or requests. This policy covers trytucasa.com and TuCasa’s own plugins and connected services. Other services you choose to use have their own privacy policies.

Information we collect

Depending on how you use TuCasa, we collect account and verification information, including your name, email addresses, contact details, affiliations, invitations and verification status.

Home information may include addresses, photographs, descriptions, availability, prices, amenities, payment instructions and home guides. Stay information may include requested dates, guest counts, reservations, payment status, travel parties, stay issues and private ratings.

We also collect support communications, technical and security records, cookies and service activity. AI connections use account identifiers, authorization information and requests made through the connected service.

We receive information from people who invite you or add you to a home or stay, and verification or transaction information from service providers. Only provide another person’s information when you have an appropriate reason and authority to do so.

How we use information

We use information to create accounts, verify eligibility, manage access, display homes according to sharing settings, process stay requests and manage reservations. We also use it to send service messages, support payments, resolve problems, investigate misuse, maintain reliability, improve TuCasa and meet legal obligations.

Private ratings may affect eligibility for new marketplace activity. Contact support to request review of an access restriction.

Who can see your information

Other members and listing visitors receive information needed to view a home or manage a stay, subject to access rules and listing settings. Hosts, guests and authorized collaborators may receive information relevant to their role.

Public listing information may be visible outside your network. Private sharing links can be forwarded and may reveal the home’s address. Photos and descriptions can also reveal location information.

We use providers for hosting, authentication, email, payments, maps, analytics and AI features. Relevant providers include Render, Auth0, Google services, Stripe and OpenAI, depending on the feature used.

We may disclose information when legally required or reasonably necessary to investigate misuse, protect people or property, or establish or defend legal claims.

AI features and connected assistants

When you authorize a TuCasa connection in an AI service, that service can send permitted requests and receive corresponding results.

The current plugin supports home discovery and signup links. Listing results are limited to a public listing identifier, city, country, guest capacity and a TuCasa link. It does not return household access instructions or payment details, make bookings or publish homes.

TuCasa’s website can use OpenAI to generate text. Home-guide drafting sends the notes you provide to OpenAI. Welcome-text generation uses selected home details, such as city, home type and capacity. Avoid including unnecessary sensitive information and review generated text before using it.

The AI service separately controls its handling of conversations and received results under its own policies. Disconnecting TuCasa stops future access through that account link; it does not erase information already received by another service.

Cookies and analytics

TuCasa uses cookies and similar technologies for account sessions, security and preferences. Optional Google Analytics collection is controlled through Cookie Settings. The application is configured to deny analytics until consent and disable advertising features.

You can change optional cookie choices through Cookie Settings. Blocking essential cookies may prevent parts of the service from working.

How long we keep information

Retention depends on the information’s purpose, account activity and legal requirements. Some signup recovery records have a 24-hour validity window, and pending verification records have a 48-hour validity window. Expiration does not necessarily mean every stored copy is immediately deleted.

Account deletion does not remove copies already received by other members or external services.

Your choices and rights

You can update available profile information, manage applicable sharing and notification settings, change optional cookie choices and disconnect an AI account link.

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete or obtain a copy of your information, object to or restrict certain processing, and withdraw consent. You may also have the right to complain to a privacy regulator.

Contact support@trytucasa.com to make a request. We may need to verify your identity. Some requests are subject to legal exceptions.

International processing and security

Our providers may process information in countries other than where you live. Business locations do not specify where all data is stored or processed.

TuCasa uses authentication, access controls and other safeguards. No online service can guarantee complete security.

Changes and contact

We will update the effective date when this policy changes and provide additional notice where required. For questions or privacy requests, contact support@trytucasa.com.
